Another big week of stuff coming up next week!
Highway Cleanup and Monthly Meeting -- Wednesday, July 25th at 6:30PM at Morgan's
Our next monthly meeting, and the summer highway cleanup is at 6:30PM at Morgan's in Pine Bluff, 8640 W Mineral Point Rd, corner of Mineral Point (Cty S) and County P. We'll meet in the parking lot at 6:30, clean up the highway and follow with a short meeting at the bar. Arrive early for a drink before we clean!
In the event of rain, we will still clean. If there is lightning, we'll meet and reschedule cleaning.
Bring work gloves, long pants and boots are recommended because it can be muddy along the road.
Pirate Pub Plunder -- Saturday, July 28th starting 5:30 at The Bayou
Once again, we be setting sail in ye pubs of downtown Madison to find the finest grog! We'll be collecting 10 dubloons (which is exactly equal to $10 US) for the charity (The Henry Vilas Zoo). The ink on our treasure map isn't yet dry, but we're thinking of sailing to:
- 5:30 - The Bayou
- 7:30 - Arrrrrrgus (er, Argus)
- 9:00 - Brocach
- 10:30 - Genna's
- 11:30 - Tiki Shack
There be drink specials and fun goings-on at all ports-of-call!
In case you don't want to cab back afterwards, Jackie has arranged special rates for The Edgewater, which is just up the street from the Tiki Shack.
Aquapalooza - Sunday, July 29th
Join the floating party just off-shore North of the beach on Picnic Point (about half-way up the point). Music from Midlife Crisis and antics in the water.
If you're coming by boat, get there early, as the front line fills up fast! Roger and the Ertels will be leaving by 9AM (probably closer to 8:30). Look for Roger's red "Budweiser II" (complete with cocktail table with Budweiser umbrella) parked next to Mark and Susan's "Little Miss Magic" in position around 9:30. If you don't have a boat, there is plenty of parking at the Picnic Point parking lots, and you can wade out to the boats.
Bring drinks, snacks and something to float with, although the water is not deep (especially if we don't get any rain)!
